Hoka è un’azienda francese che progetta e commercializza scarpe da corsa. Il marchio ha attirato la prima attenzione nel settore della corsa producendo scarpe con suole di grandi dimensioni, soprannominate scarpe “massimaliste” grazie all’ammortizzazione extra; ciò era in contrasto con la tendenza minimalista delle scarpe che stava guadagnando popolarità al momento della fondazione dell’azienda nel 2009.
Hoka produce scarpe sia a profilo ribassato che a cuscino massimo per strada, pista e trail; per tutta la sua linea di prodotti, le scarpe Hoka mantengono caratteristiche come un basso rapporto peso-ammortizzazione e geometria dell’intersuola e della suola progettate per promuovere la stabilità intrinseca e un passo efficiente.
La società è stata fondata nel 2009 ad Annecy, in Francia; ha attualmente sede a Richmond, in California, e la sua sede centrale è attualmente a Goleta, in California.
