Crazy Idea

Crazy Idea, founded in 1989 in Bormio, is closely linked to the name of its creator, owner and designer Valeria Colturi. Born and raised in Bormio in Alta Valtellina, after a past as an athlete in cross-country skiing, Valeria Colturi began, still in her twenties, to produce sportswear out of passion.
Today the company, which has meanwhile moved its headquarters to Tirano in the middle Valtellina, produces around 80% of its articles in Italy, remaining true to its tradition.
Even in trail running, in 1995 it was the first to market clothing designed specifically for this, then, ‘new discipline’.
The strong competitive connotation allowed the company to create a name for itself as a producer of highly technical clothing and today, while remaining closely linked to this particular sector, the feedback from the high level is transferred to traditional ski touring, mountaineering, freeriding and the street and climbing world.
