That the Brooks Ghosts were shoes of excellent quality and comfort has long been known.
\nEspecially in the latest editions, from the 10 onwards, the comfort of fit has improved considerably, making the Ghosts one of the most popular and best-selling models in the vast running panorama.<\/p>\n

WEREN’T THE GLYCERINS THE TOP?<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/h3>\n

Although, in terms of cushioning and overall comfort, the jewel in Brooks’ crown have historically always been the Glycerins<\/a><\/strong>. Softer, with a narrower sole and a smoother, more plush transition.<\/p>\n

With the Ghost 14, however, if only for a few months, leadership within the American brand was severely compromised.<\/p>\n

SO WHY THE GHOST 14?<\/h3>\n

Thanks to the new cushioning<\/strong>, 100% DNA loft<\/strong>, exactly as on the Glycerin 19<\/a><\/strong>.
\nCompared to the previous version, in fact, the noblest and softest midsole compound from Brooks’ house goes from just the outside and rear of the midsole (30% of the total) to the entire longitudinal coverage.<\/p>\n

The result is clear: the new Ghosts are more cushioned, lighter<\/strong> (281 g in the men’s version and 255 g in the women’s) and more dynamic<\/strong>, without altering a certain feeling of protection and structure<\/strong> that make them ideal for runners of virtually any weight and gait.<\/p>\n

The upper remains light and elastic, with the now customary 3D fit reinforcements that provide durability<\/strong> and an optimal fit at all times<\/strong>. The rigid shell instead protects the heel, tendons and ankles.<\/p>\n

The outsole, on the other hand, guarantees excellent traction even on any portions of gravel and\/or wet terrain, while the segmented geometry of the Crash Pad allows for softer and more plush transitions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Finally, the price<\/strong> discourse also plays a key role: at \u20ac140, the Ghosts remain in the mid-range and certainly more affordable than the Glycerin’s \u20ac170.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

UNTIL WHEN WILL THEY HOLD OUT AT THE TOP?<\/h3>\n

Until Brooks churns out the 20th edition of the Glycerin, i.e. spring 2022.
\nOnly then, probably, with the advent of the DNA Loft v3, will there be a return to ‘normality’.
\nBut that, as they say, is another story!<\/p>\n
