The Saucony Guide TR Men’s are road-to-trail running shoes designed to offer maximum cushioning, stability and protection when the route transitions from tarmac to dirt tracks. Derived from the Guide 19, they retain the comfort of the road version but feature a more robust construction and a specialised outsole to tackle gravel roads, dirt tracks and off-road trails with greater confidence. The midsole features a wide base of PWRRUN foam, developed to ensure a soft, protective ride alongside responsive energy return. The generous stack height of 41 mm at the heel and 35 mm at the forefoot, combined with a 6 mm drop, creates a highly cushioned platform designed to comfortably support even the longest daily training sessions. The PWRRUN+ insole adds an extra layer of softness and comfort directly underfoot. To suit mixed terrain, the Guide TR features a PWRTRAC rubber outsole with 3.5 mm lugs. This configuration provides the necessary grip when leaving the tarmac, whilst maintaining the versatility required of a shoe intended to cover a significant proportion of its distance on the road. The upper has also been adapted for road-to-trail use: the breathable mesh is complemented by additional lightweight reinforcements to enhance durability and resilience on off-road trails. Weighing 315 g, the Guide TR Men’s prioritises cushioning, stability and protection over lightness, offering a comprehensive solution for those who want to use a single shoe for training sessions that combine road and off-road running. |
