The Kailas Fuga DU 2 Men’s are trail running shoes designed to tackle steep gradients, mixed terrain and technical trails. Their construction combines responsive cushioning, high grip and stability, providing a secure footing even on the most challenging descents.
The midsole utilises a dual-density supercritical foam, developed to ensure cushioning and energy return. Kailas claims a 27 per cent increase in springiness and a 7 per cent increase in thickness compared to the reference model. The lateral elastomeric supports also help to stabilise the forefoot on uneven terrain. The upper, made from multidimensional XDiMESH, combines lightness, durability and breathability. According to the manufacturer’s data, this technology improves ventilation by 40 per cent and durability by 20 per cent, whilst reducing the weight of the material by 37 per cent. The breathable inner lining limits the ingress of sand, whilst theTPU exoskeleton provides additional support in the ankle area. The KAILAS AWS 3.0™ lacing system allows two zones of the boot to be adjusted separately, improving the fit around the foot and limiting forward slippage during descents. This is particularly useful on routes with frequent changes in gradient. The sole Vibram Megagrip with Litebase technology ensures traction on technical and slippery surfaces, whilst the wide forefoot 125 mm helps ensure stability underfoot. Weighing 305 g in size 42 and with a 6 mm heel-to-toe drop, the Fuga DU 2 is designed for those seeking control, responsiveness and reliability on mountain trails. |
