Leki

LEKI has its origins in the turning company founded by Karl Lenhart in Dettingen/Teck in 1948. Karl Lenhart was a keen skier, but he was not at all satisfied with the quality and functionality of the ski poles of the time. So he started to produce ski pole grips and wheels on his own, with the machinery of his own workshop. In 1970, under the name LEKI, which is made up of the initial letters of his name and that of the location of the first factory – Lenhart and Kirchheim – he went on the market and became a leading company in the industry.
