The Altra Torin 9 GTX Men’s are neutral, waterproof running shoes designed to offer comfort, protection and a natural ride during road training and walks. The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane is integrated into the stretch upper to protect the foot from rain and moisture, whilst maintaining a flexible structure during movement.

The midsole utilises P35X™ dual-density foam, combining a softer component with a firmer one to strike a balance between cushioning, energy return and stability. The 28 mm stack height provides a medium level of cushioning, whilst the 0 mm drop positions the heel and forefoot at the same height, in keeping with Altra’s signature design.

The Vibram® XS DURA rubber outsole focuses on durability and grip on tarmac and, according to Altra, offers 8.5 per cent better grip than the Torin 8. The FootPod technology also enhances the sole’s flexibility, allowing it to follow the foot’s movement more naturally.

The Standard FootShape™ fit allows greater freedom for the toes whilst keeping the foot stable in the midfoot area. The heel and tongue have also been updated to improve comfort and fit. The model has also received the Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
