The La Sportiva Jackal II BOA are trail running shoes designed to tackle ultra-distances, technical terrain and long hours in the mountains. The design combines cushioning, protection and a precisely adjustable fit. They are designed for those seeking a high-performance shoe for extremely long distances, where stability and comfort must remain consistent even as the kilometres mount up. One of the distinctive features is the BOA® Fit System with PerformFit™ Wrap. The two BOA® dials allow for quick and precise adjustment in different areas of the foot. The construction also features a double three-layer microfibre tongue, designed to improve heel hold and stability on the most technical sections. The EVA midsole with Infinitoo™ technology is designed to provide cushioning over long distances. The structure incorporates a high-density EVA rock shield and an additional internal cushioning platform, enhancing foot protection on uneven terrain. The stack height measures 33 mm at the heel and 26 mm at the forefoot, with a 7 mm drop. The FriXion® White outsole with Impact Brake System completes the Jackal II BOA’s trail-running setup. The 3.5 mm lugs are designed to maintain grip and control whilst running in the mountains. The protection offered by the midsole and the outsole’s construction make the shoe particularly well-suited to routes featuring a mix of runnable stretches and more technical sections. The upper utilises a mesh sandwich made from recycled material, reinforced with heat-bonded TPU overlays. The construction also includes multi-layered microfibre flaps and an Ariaprene tongue and collar. The Ortholite® Hybrid Mountain Running® Ergonomic insole and the abrasion-resistant mesh lining complete a shoe specifically designed to tackle long hours on the trails. |
