The On Cloudboom Strike 2 are road racing shoes designed to deliver speed, energy return and lightness in half-marathons and marathons. Developed in collaboration with athletes, they combine high levels of cushioning with an extremely responsive structure, designed to help maintain a sustained pace even as distance and fatigue increase. The key innovation is the CloudTec Sphere™ cushioning system, designed specifically for speed. The channels within the structure allow the foam to expand, compress and flex in multiple directions, promoting a smooth and responsive roll. Added to this is Helion™ HF, used to provide high energy return whilst maintaining lightness and durability during long-distance races. Propulsion is provided by the carbon Speedboard®, which works in conjunction with the midsole to make the push-off phase more efficient and dynamic. The removable upper midsole adds a soft and responsive element underfoot, creating a platform that combines impact protection with energetic responsiveness. The 5 mm heel-to-toe drop completes a design developed to deliver a fast running feel. The wide-weave mesh upper keeps the construction lightweight and promotes breathability, moulding to the foot and providing the necessary support during the race. The non-slip rubber outsole completes the design, ensuring grip on tarmac, whilst the medium level of stability allows you to maintain good control whilst preserving the shoe’s neutral and dynamic character. Weighing just 191 g, the Cloudboom Strike 2 combines performance-oriented technologies and geometries in a particularly lightweight design. It is a true racing shoe designed primarily for half-marathons and marathons, where cushioning, efficiency and energy return are essential for maintaining your pace right to the finish line.
